Question For Mobile Detailers

Start with what you have and build from there. I started out of the back of a mini truck using the client’s water and electricity. I moved up to an old Briggs and Stratton generator and I stored water in a 30 gal rubber trash can.

As you earn income put money aside to by newer better pro. grade equipment.

I now have all new high quality equipment in two units. We have the ability to detail anything anywhere. My rig with my trailer can carry 350 gallons of water and we have a 3000 watt and 6500 watt generator.

We do allot of detailing in office parks and other areas where power and water are not available. Our water is also spot free so we always use it even if water is available.

I detail "on the side" and have not run into any problems using the clients water and electricity.

However, if you plan on doing mobile detailing at an office, business park, or other industrail area make sure you have a water spigot key. Most of the water spigots (faucets) in these areas do not have a handle on them so a key is a necessity to turn them on. I got mine at home depot for $8.

Also make sure it is okay that is okay that you are using a corporate office or office complex's water faucet. I can see this being a potential problem.
