Question for Leatherique users

Hey all, I was wondering if anyone who has used Leatherique could chime in here. When I get home from deployment, I am going to have a 2007 Charger to detail up and was wanting to try the Leatherique system on it. My question is the seats are the Leather/Suede mix, does anyone have any tricks to do this without ruining the suede part or should I even try to use the system on these seats?

I have no clue but if you go to Leatherique's website it should provide their 1-800 to call customer service.

You don't want to get it on suede, but you can still use it on the leather parts. I would apply it with a foam applicator, and use several THIN applications, so that it does not run off onto the suede portion of the seat. If I'm picturing it correctly, your seats have leather bolsters with suede center inserts, correct?

Then you should be fine using the technique I mentioned. You'll notice that each time you apply it, it will get absorbed into the leather and you'll have to apply more...when it gets to the point when it is no longer absorbed, that's when you want to leave it alone and let it sit (preferably in the sunlight so it heats up) and "soak" into the leather. I'd probably apply Prestine Clean the same way (via foam applicator) as it's quite watery and I wouldn't want it to harm the suede inserts.

I appreciate all the responses, I will check to make sure it's not alcantara. I did think about taping the edges of the cloth off but wasn't sure how well it would protect against a liquid as the tape probably wouldn't adhere very well.

I think I will still tape the edges off just as an added bonus and use Matt's idea with the applicator pad and thin coats until its ready to let dwell.

Thanks again everyone, once I actually get back to the states I will do this and let everyone know how it turns out.
