Hey, i am looking at getting some rims, the ARE Slider style specifically, but I am confused on the finishes.

Here is the site, you can see the difference in price between polished (aluminum im assuming) and chrome. My question is this, what is the difference in looks? Is the chrome shinnier? And which with the proper care (AIO and SG) will retain its shine over the life of the wheels? Thanks a lot guys, i really appreciate it. O, lastly, is one easier to clean than the other?

Well I have chrome on my car and it definitley is a lot more expensive. Chrome wheels shine up better when cared for properly (washed, chrome polished, waxed). Chrome wheels go through a whole process as they are "chromed". Polished wheels are just polishing wheels, I think aluminum, and this gives them more shine. As for durability I think chrome would outlast polished wheels because of the process of actually chrome plating wheels as to just polishing otherwise dullish metal. Again, this is based on my experience shopping for and eventually buying and maintaining chrome, not the actual science behind both processes.
