Question about pro detailing

Would someone please let me know the best way to clean the frame rails forward of the firewall and around the upper a-arms and get them dry? I usually use Simple Green and then spray it off using a moderate water flow with a nozzle that has a "shower" selection. However, I want to dry out the area so it won't induce rust. Unfortunately I have no garage and the car is new and I want to keep it as clean and as rust free as I can...especially when it needs cleaning under the hood!

SFCR10- I'm not a pro, but I clean those areas at every wash. Normally rust won't be a huge issue as long as the paint/coating/whatever on the pieces is OK, and if it's *not* OK then you oughta address that. I seldom bother drying such areas but when I do I usually use compressed air.
 
Thanks Accumulator! I don't drive it in the rain, so there is no road scum on the car, but it has so much pollen. I live in North Carolina and this past Spring was really bad. I was thinking of using some Simple Green, let it soak for about a minute, and then hose it off. I have an air compressor I could use to blow off some of the water. How's it going these days?

That Simple Green (OK, gotta admit that I simply hate that stuff even if it does work...watch that it doesn't etch bare alumimum) ought get things clean, but it'll also strip off anything like wax or rubber dressing.



For those undercarrige bits, what about using some Eastwood Black Heavy Duty Anti-rust ( see if this link works: Heavy Duty Anti Rust Aerosol Black ). The stuff dries non-tacky (well, eventually) and looks kinda like black paint. Not at all what you might expect from the name. I use it on undercarriages a lot and I really like it for applications where I don't want to go the showcar route with waxes/etc.
