Question about PC 7336 included polishing Pad

I just purchased a 7336 PC from Lowes and it came with a white polishing pad. I'll be ordering some Edge 2000 pads soon and I probably will not receive them until next week. However I want to use the PC this weekend (I can't wait). What I want to know is how good is the pad that came with the PC and what can I use it for? Can I apply a polish or glaze to a black Tahoe? Will this pad scratch the paint or cause swirls? My Tahoe is only 3-4 months old so the paint is in good shape. Has anyone used this pad before? This will be my first time using a PC. Thanks for your help

The white screw on pad that came with my PC has been used many times for polishing since I purchased the PC in October of 2002.
No problems with it for me. I still use it for swirl removal with Meguiar's #9.

IMO, it should not be a problem.
The only way I can think of that you could cause scratches or swirls would be to use a product that doesn't work well with a PC. As long as you are using a polish and not an aggressive compound, you should be OK.
To relieve your concerns somewhat, you might try a small section and see what the results are before you do the entire vehicle and find out I am wrong.

I was going to apply Poorboy's Polish with Carnuba. Hopefully this plays well with the PC and won't scratch/swirl the paint. Any idea what PC setting I should use when applying this? Thanks for your help!

The PwC should be an excellent choice, both as for results and as a product that will work well with the PC.
As far as speed settings, it seems like I pretty much use 4.5 for most any polishing I do.
