I just ordered a bottle of this stuff yesterday. Will it work on a vynal Convertable top? I'm not lookin to really slick it up i just want to nice flat shine without having to worry about it running when it rains. i'm trying to restore my wifes little Tracker back to life. Also will the SSR polishes work on the plastic windows of the convertable top. I ordered SSR2.5 and 1 to use on my car to remove alot of cobwebb and etches.

I think I'd start with ProPolish on the windows, rather than the SSR's.
Is the top needing to be restored? (faded?) Or are you just looking for some protection?

Yes the TR will being back the vinly top....make sure that its real clean and dry....I would apply and then buff with a dry towel after to spread out even and reduce the shine factor....I try not to get the top wet for 24 hours so that it cures well.....For the plastic windows the SSR2.5 is way to agressive....the SSR1 would be ok to remove that yellow flim that most get, I would follow that with pro-polish if anything or something along those lines.

Well I just thought i would ask about the SSR becuase I ordered some for my car. The vynal rag top does into be restored its faded and has no luster just dull.

Sorry for the thread hi-jack...has anyone used TR for the seals on a convertible top? My boss has been asking me what too use to keep his seals from drying out; he has a 2000 Boxster.

Thanks!

The TR will work great on the rubber seals I use it all the time.....for real dry ones I go over them wait a bit then apply again so that it real soaks in.

The TR will bring back the luster big time.....I did one on a Dodge some time back and it looked like a new top!......If you want a matted finish then buff that will help allot

And if you have a black shop vac or other tools with plastic on them that are looking a bit weathered, you'll be amazed with the before & after change in appearance from using TR :)

when I wash my wifes car next week will it remove the Trim restorer?

It shouldn't. I get several months of durability out of it on textured plastic and even better results on my rubber trim.
