Question about Megs Next Gen wax

8 out of 10 times I love this stuff. But sometimes like on a black car it leaves a spotchy look like some of it got down in there good and some didnt. Am I doing something wrong? using too much or too little, waiting too long to wipe it off, not waiting long enough? I use the sponge pad it comes with. Or do some cars just not take to well to it as others do? I did another black car the same way and looked fantastic. When it happens I wax over it with another brand and it looks fine. Thanks

it's not the wax, you need to let the wax cure before removing it. a good indication is the swipe test, take your clean finger and briskly swipe a spot and if it's clear, not oily or streaky, it's ready to remove....

Yes it's the wax. For some reason, Megs has a problem with NXT and #21. It can be denied all day long, but it continues to happen.

Don't get me wrong - I like the look of both. To combat this deficiency I apply it twice, one hour apart. It delivers even coverage and solves the streaking issue. :bigups

Are you referring to an issue where you can still vaguely see the strokes where it was applied? I had that problem last night with Meg's #26 Liquid.

ive had that when using it over other waxes...on freshly polished paint it seems to work good

Yea, I'm having this same problem. Frustrating, really. I took a good 7 hours on my first detail only to find horrible splotching on my Black Scion tC. I was told by Megs customer support that I was using too much, which was true. So I did as he said and wiped the car down with a warm wet towel and applied a second coat 24 hour later. The wipedown did nothing, after the second coat, it got even worse. Over time (about 1 week) it seems to be less noticeable. But I'm NOT using the rest of my bottle of NXT. Been looking for a better wax I can get for about the same price that works well on Black.

Meg's #26 Hi-tech Yellow Wax! Professional line... liquid is a beige bottle... paste is a black can with yellow text. I'm liking it a lot so far for OTC!! Expect 12 bucks roughly, liquid or paste.
