Question about BMW Z4

Im working on a 2005 BMW Z4 right now. I need to remove the seats, but I wanted to make sure that doing so wont cause any problems. For example, I removed seats in my dads Audi and the air bag light is on.

Oh yeah, polishing that hood's going to be fun!!

Beginning of the year, dealership gave me a 2006 z4 for a loner (only had 700 miles on it). The front end on that car is so long.

I can vouch for that. I have a client with one and I didn't know how incredibly soft that paint was. I used a microfiber app that I got from zaino to apply PS and it left scratches all up and down the hood. I had to polish the hood afterwards and not too much fun.

I don't know, cause I barely had pressure on that pad and I almost fell on my a$$ when I saw what happend. Might of just been me.

With BMW's the hardness seems to depend on the color. Some of the blacks are incredibly soft while the SG is incredibly hard. What color was the z4?

you probably will trip a sensor when u pull the seats in that bmw. and bmw clear coats are usually fairly hard, more so than most other cars. that care may have had a repaint or something. I know BMW prides them self on the quality of their paint, so I doubt the hards are usually soft

BMW black is *very* soft, while their other colors seem to be pretty hard.

And yeah, that hood does not look fun to polish.

It actually is fun to polish (if it's your car I guess.)

I'm finding Alpine White to be pretty "hard" for what it's worth.

The nice thing is, the car is so low you can reach almost all the way across the roof while standing on one side. Makes things a little easier, anyway.

Actually i think it depends on the year too. I have an '03 325i and the clear is rock hard. But i've heard some of the black e90's and e92's the clear is soft like butter.
