Do you think I should clay it to be safe??? The paint isnt rough, but I just wanted to ask first.

Ill be going in this order:

NXT Wash

AIO and SG

Z2pro with Z8

AIO and Collinite insulator wax.

So Should I clay???

Everything I've ever heard says that yes, you should clay a new car because most of them get transported by rail somewhere along their trek from assembly line to dealership. That fine rail dust can be a bugger if you don't clay. Even if it didn't come by rail, sitting on those open trucks isn't really "clean", you know?

I not only clay new vehicles, I use a decontamination system (AutoInt's ABC) on them. It's the only way I've been able to prevent "rust blooms" from cropping up a few months down the line. Other than that I just treat new cars the same as old ones, except that the new ones don't need polishing unless the dealer marred them.

I'd clay with the Sonus gray clay. After that, I'd use the Sonus Green for periodic cleaning.

The funny thing is that the only time I had problems with rail dust rust are on domestic cars. I guess since I live in LA most of the imports must come by ship or either they were well covered with plastic on the train. Either way it is recomended to clay first with any mild clay that you can get at the local parts store. Make sure to use lots of lube. Your method of applying products is rather redundant and wasteful. I mean if you AIO and SG it then Z2 won't stick to it so well, then you are gonna AIO it which will remove the SG and Z2. The end will have insulator wax only. First off let me recomend that you either stick with one type of LSP; Z2 or SG. I would forget insulator wax because it will not bring out the shine that well for it to be worth using as a topper over a sealant. Go to your Harley shop and get some S100. My method is as follow:

NXT wash

Clay

AIO

SG or Z2

S100
