mike the car was completely dry . After using the QEW i used 2 MF and QD with S & G and buffed the paint to a fine finish.I freaked the car looked like a dust magnet while i was QD,Odd isn't. If someone thinks i may have use the QEEW in the wrong way please let me know..Mikeyc said:That's interesting. I've never heard of that happening. Maybe you didn't dry the car well and that's crystallized soap residue. Just an idea.
I'l give it another shot. does the cold temp effect the use of this QEW?CharlesW said:QEW does contain some wax to aid in the lubricity of the product.
Maybe the S&G and the QEW are not compatible.
It's pretty hard to pin down the problem when two products were used.
Try the QEW alone.

It sure as heck would here. It's warmed up to 3 degrees now.joe.p said:I'l give it another shot. does the cold temp effect the use of this QEW?
Charles the day i used it the temp was between 26 & 32 degrees. I froze my butt off. I also used hot water with it. I also noticed my new sheepskin mitt was shedding like crazy..CharlesW said:It sure as heck would here. It's warmed up to 3 degrees now.
I can't help but think it would have some effect on it below 50 dgrees.
But, that's just my guess.

The mitt i used was new i used it 3 -4 times before..fwiw that will be my last time washing in the cold.CharlesW said:You are a glutton for punishment.
Another thought. Does a new sheepskin mitt have any sort of treatment on it when you first buy it? Did you wash it first or use it straight from the store?
I do think a lot of MF's and textiles of several manufacturers have some type of fabric softener on them when you buy them. They fool you on how soft their product is/isn't. Again, just my opinion.
