Can some of you guys reccomend a nice QD. Right now im using #34 Final Inspection and I got to try out Wizards mist and shine (which I liked) but its expensive at 14.99 a bottle I havent tried Meguiars UQD but Ive been reading that durability is poo. Just looking for something to spray on after or in my drying time.

finish Kare 425

I love FK425, it is extremely slick and adds protection.

For a cheap QD or when I want more cleaning power I use ONR QD.

If I am using a high end carnauba on a vehicle, I finish it with crystal mist instead of 425.

I've been using Z6 for a little more than a year now. I've got some Z8 that I haven't tried yet and a bunch of PB stuff is on the way.

I'm very happy with what I've been using, but I figured trying out a new product wouldn't hurt. Sides if I don't like it I can always use it on someone else's car...LOL

Quick Shine is a favorite of mine.

As far as UQD, it isn't bad. It's slick, gives a nice shine...all around good product. As far as durability, I wash my cars weekly and QD afterwards, so I'm not really sure how long it lasts. Even though I think it needs time to "cure" it's a QD, not a LSP...so I don't expect too much as far as durability goes. #34 is good also. I use that mostly for claying or I take some with me for on-the-road quick clean ups. Like bird bombs or the "untrained" passenger who leaves finger smudges...

If you are just using it for a drying aid (I tend to dry and QD in two separate steps) you could probably just stick with #34 as I think it's the cheaper out of everything else mentioned. I could be wrong thoguh. But I like to try different products as well, so I understand. :D

I do want to try #425 though. I'll probably order some before next spring comes around.

The four I use most often are:

FK 425, over anything (use it on my wheels after every wash).

QwikShine, over anything (somehow not using it much lately though..).

UPP UGE and the BF QD over sealants (incl. KSG).

Griot's SpeedShine over carnaubas (really seems to leave a lot of protection behind, very good stuff).

Much as I like #34 (and I use enough for cleaning and during polishing that I buy it in gallons), as a "leaves stuff behind" QD if find it sorely lacking. It's even killed off almost-dead LSPs that an above-mentioned QD would have helped hang on until the next wash.

Clearkote's Quickshine is an excellent product and leaves a very slick and shiny finish. Duragloss Aquawax. although not a true QD and is more of a wax booster but does an amazing job of giving a real pop to the vehicle after a wash and leaving a slickness second to none and is available at many Car Quests. It also has excellent durability amd gives you a just waxed look.

Currently my favourites are

Aussie gold showroom glaze (hands down best in the world if you want incredible slickness and six months durability)

Will hide swirls as well, all without silicone or fillers.

Duragloss FC&S & AW

ONR

Raindance (diluted)

Clearkote Quikshine gets my vote. It is an excellent all rounder, use it on the paint, the glass, the interior, leather and more. But one word of advice when using it on the glass, a little goes a long way.

My favorite is Griot's Speed Shine. Adam's Detail Spray is nice, Duragloss QD is very nice, Meg's UQD works well, the Sonus Acrylic/Carnauba Spritzes are good, of course Z6 when using Zaino, Meg's #34 as the work horse, and PB's S&W for removing bugs, tar, and dirt.

I used to really like Quik Shine, but recently, I've been having problems getting it to buff clear. I have pretty much given up on it over my Zaino. I am also in the vast minority of people who just aren't crazy about FK 425. It's another one that I have problems buffing clear.

Only thing with Aussie Gold is that you can only get it in a 5 litre size....So if you dont like it your stuck with alot or else I would love to try it

You can get a freebie (about 500ml or so) bottle from ebay australia.

I can give you the sellers name if you want (guy that makes it)

Trust me, nothing else comes close in the slickness and swirl hiding department, by machine to give the clear more depth and the durability of the sealant that's in it.
