noob question

is it ok to use QD on the car right after waxing to remove any excess wax left on the car???

will the QD interfere or remove the wax??

i've been using nxt tech wax and i have nxt speed detailer and after i buff the wax off.. i notice the mf towel can not remove ALL of the excess wax.. sometimes it leaves prints of wax spots here and there..

thats why i wonder if the speed detailer can be used as the final wipe step..

should i not even bother.. will any small areas of left over wax residue just evaporate in the sun or wash off at the next wash

thanks for the help

I don't believe that a QD will disturb the excess wax on the car. Unless the QD is a cleaning QD, in which case the wax may be disturbed. My suggestion would be to let the wax (buffed off with MF) sit for 1-2 hours just to let the wax stabilize. Then you can use your QD to remove the excess wax.

The excess wax probably won't evaporate in the sun, and will probably take a few washes to get off (depending on the cleaning ability of your car shampoo). I'd probably get the wax residue all off if possible.

The NXT QD does not have any significant cleaning agents - just gloss enhancers and lubricants - as far as I know, (from MG website and RX hotline) so it should not remove any "set" wax. It will take care of patches, streaks and dust/buildup however. But take it from mikebai1990 - letting the wax set is always a good idea.

Are you applying super thin coats ? DIfficulty removing product is usually assosiated with to much product being used. That statement comes from my first hand expierience at being an idoit, and what all the pros on this forum know.

You can also try QD on your applicator pad before application - duuuu, probably old news.

hope that helps.

You can use a QD as a final wipe, but if you find the NXT carrier is not removing well, try switching to new towel(s) as the carrier tends to load the MF some.

ALSO I second the notion that maybe you're applying too much product. When NXT liquid is applied thinly with a PC the resulting finish is amazingly glass like.

I think there's a natural tendancy to apply to thick - not sure why, perhaps a more is better flawed thinking.
