..Q :lbls1 : i applyed 3 coats of destiny isaw is not sharp like 2 coats befor , do you think zymol wax after every 2 coats need pre wax like swissol system.?? i.. . ithink after 2 coats you must stop for 4 month or more no more wax

I'll be interested to hear lbls1's response to that, as he sometimes gets many layers of Zymol on his car. Perhaps the different conditions make a big difference. I do think that lbls1 waits a long time between applications.

lbls1- You ever tried Pinnacle Crystal Mist or Griot's SpeedShine over Zymol? Wondering if they (esp. the Griot's) would kill that special Zymol look or not

Hi,

I only use QS and Mothers Showtime over my Zymol Destiny. I dont like the way things like Prima Slick change the gloss.

HI lbls1 nice to see y

really isearch for QD ..because ithink zymol wax under destiny wax level ,like concourse and titanum need more to show gloss with good QD ...and my systam if istart detail with zymol iwould finsh all steps with zymol because ithink is better result if use same product package ,idont like use many product names when detail car.

for examp:nxt

iuse meguairs product step by step wash >prep>cleaner>polish>wax nxt>MG QD=best level of shine and depth.

Q :lbls1 : i applyed 3 coats of destiny isaw is not sharp like 2 coats befor , do you think zymol wax after every 2 coats need pre wax like swissol system.?? i lose some sharp with 3 coats even i feel is more shiner but when come so close you can see there like orang peel. maybe 3 coat too much in one month!! iremove small part with pre wax and surface become more sharp . ithink after 2 coats you must stop for 4 month or more no more wax

Maxi, I'm not sure what's goin on there but let me tell ya what I think. By three coats a good Zymol like Destiny will not be in short supply of anything. If you are seeing dullness then I'd look at what you are using underneath it. Are you putting an lsp under the Zymol??? That's a No-No according to LBLS1's Cardinal Rule! Lol. Also note that Zymol is not about gloss or greasy sheen. It will have a powerful sheen, but the most important aspects of a good zymol are its clarity, depth of reflection and color production. However, three or more coatings will have all of the gloss, clarity and depth that you can handle IMO.

Also, are you putting the coatings on too quickly, like two coats in one day or something? That's a no-no too. IMO you should let the finish dry a little. My rule of thumb is to give it a week or more in between coats. You can wait a day b4 another coat, but an EG is highly concentrated, so you will not need a lot of it to produce a brilliant result. In fact, just one or two coats after a thorough prep is sufficient to have excellent results to start.

One more thing...I am an avid user of P21s (I think you know right??), and although its good in its own right, there is no way IMO that it could compete with an EG based on my experience; But I'm trusting your observation, so I will say to check your prep products and make sure that they are compatible with your waxes.............and NO CHEATING with lsp products beneath your wax!!!! EGs need absolutely no assistence after the prep!!!! Right Supe, Mike(Calgary), Mikeyc, Picus, MDRX, Accumulator!?!?!?!?! Lol!!!!!

Edit: Accumulator, I have heard good things (pros and cons) about Pinn Crystal, but I've yet to try it. With a fresh EG, it is critical that the QD should be light!!!! I'll probably do a test panel of it one of these days just to see how it fares out.

Yes, I am a waxaholic, and in a given season I accumulate a lot of wax, but in stages and with at least a couple of weeks in between. Add to it, I make sure that the paint is clean with a combination of (garaging..lol....sometimes a little cheating helps lol), a wash and a light qd that cleans as well as having a carnauba additive. So far I've been satisfied with the EGs in building a finish with NO residue or streaks or dullness. That's not to say that it didn't happen to me. My first year with an EG I was anxious and I accumulated *a lot* of layers (too embarassed to tell you how many). After my season was over during the winter, I noticed signs of haze in the finish, which let me know that the wax residue didn't thoroughly break down. This is where Zymol Detail shined. It was a more active cleaning and replenishing QD (much more so than Field Glaze...to this day I believe that it was a contributor to that winter hazing that I had), and it did a great job in cutting the haze out of that year's accumulated layers. It left me with a sharp and deep looking finish. During the years I've learned quite a bit about the EGs, and it pays dividends to take your time and go very slowly with them. Also, perhaps your most vivid response from the EGs will come from the first two layers! Its fun sometimes figuring out which stage of the EG finish I like the best!

thank you lbls1 about this nice info , i applyed 3 coats every 4 -6 days ...but y know the proplem may be in paint qualitiy its` new car but ithink system piant finish not 100% in car same many car show like orange peel ....

Q :field glaze its give greasy gloss or add depth or make bright shine ?!

If you do not use too much of the Field Glaze then it may add some gloss. For one reason or another I found it to have been greasy. One of these days I may give it another shot.

i dont know why zymol cancel this site?

Not sure but I'll keep a look out for you. BTW, sometimes the reflection will fool you. If you are near a blank surface it could be reflecting off of your zymol. I kind of doubt it but I had to put it out there. Just make sure that your paint is clean after the polish....and NO lsp's b4 a zymol...............promise?????lol!!!!
