QD or CCD for garage storing

If a car has been sitting in a semi-dirty garage and I want to detail it is it good enough just to run my CCD over it? I'm talking about 1 or 2 days here without being brought outside. The garage has AC but it's got a little dust problem that I'm not going to be able to fix in time. Also I only have so many MF towels so my CCD would be easy to use aslong as it gets everything off that needs to be off.

What do you guys think? :nixweiss

I would first wipe with ccd and then check for any dust. If any remains I would use a plush cotton towel and QD to remove any balance of the dust before using any polish/wax.

I think as long as the dirt/dust isn't "stuck on" (usually after getting wet), then you should be okay to use the CCD then QD it. That's what I do all the time without the benefit of a garage. It works great because the CCD sweeps off most of the dust before a MF towel even touches it. :up

Thanks guys, I was about just use the CCD...you guys probably just saved my paint ;) . I wish there was some local place that I could get the ultimate detailing towels locally because those made QDing sooo much easier.

I have no idea what the "ultimate detailing towel" is, but you can order some great MF towels from Ranney at Pak Shak and have them delivered to your door in a week or less.

E-mail Ranney for the Autopia price.
