Q about zaino's all in one

Hi guys

I just ordered a bottle of zaio.

Looking to amp up the gloss a bit on my Black Obsisian G35.

I'm using the LC pads. Which color pad would be best? I have orange, white, red, blue. They are the pads with dimples.

Also I'm thinking about topping it. I have black fire wet diamond, Wolfgang DGPS, and Colllinite 845. Looking for shine and gloss. What would u suggest?

Thanks!

Depends on the condition of the finish. I usually use white, though you could use blue as well. I'd leave it be for the first wash and see how you like it. Its so good it really doesn't need a topper. Maybe after a few washes, if you get bored you could try the Blackfire.

Thanks Dan

The finish is already in fairly good shape. Light swirls and a few rids.

I'll try white first.

Btw. I'm using a flex. Any recommendation on speeds?

Donald

Here's a silly question; is everybody buying their Zaino stuff directly from Zaino? Just checking before I purchase and the main stores I order from don't carry it at all.

I buy my Zaino stuff directly from them, not that I order any all that often.

I too like mild polishing pads with AIOS rather than true "finishing" pads.

ZAIO does look OK all by itself, but I'm gonna start topping it just so I don't have to redo it quite as often. It does shed dirt OK when I wash, but not as well as something like FK1000P or a *fresh* coat of 845.

Question about Zaino AIO. Is this product mainly meant to applied via da or can a rotary be used with it too?

Actually, it seems to be designed for by-hand use.

Eh, I'm the wrong guy to ask about doing this (or much else) via rotary as I basically never use my rotaries for much of anything any more, and I would *NEVER* use 'em for something like this lest I somehow instill holograms.

I guess some rotary-meister might do OK with that approach, but it's not something I'd recommend.

I agree, I think it would take more effort to finish out well using a rotary than it would be worth. It works so well and fast on a modern DA that I can't imagine needing to use it on a rotary. I guess my position is, if it needs something that aggressive and a one step, use M66/D151 via rotary and call it a day. ZAIO is really prefect for well maintained cars that only get minor wash induced swirling. Anything more and you are pushing yourself into a reconditioning solution like D151 and letting the new owner worry about protection.

Huh, never tried it via my Flex. But ZAIO doesn't seem all that picky about application the way KAIO can be (you can overdo it with the speed/etc. and make KAIO a PIA to buff off).

Any advice on speed settings for my flex when applying zaio?

Thanks again!

Don

I'd start somewhere in the middle and work your speed up. I find its really tolerant of heat.
