Well, I think (although I haven't tried Ver.2) that that would be a better alternative for the "less step proned" as they will likely not maintain it as well, so you would have a fair bit of marring to address, as well as clean. Not being as strong as a compound or even a strong polish, one could use it repeatedly without worrying about "rubbing off the paint" while at the same time getting rid of the lighter stuff. (Just getting rid of snow brush strokes makes a car look soooo much better/clearer!)
As for the "more concerned than the previously mentioned person, but still not going to go all out more than once a year" type, a stronger polish/weaker protection AIO would allow them to better maintain the finish, and then possibly alternate between PwS and something like EX or EX-P if they liked to "top" monthly, but not do too much work.
And, just to ramble on a bit more, I'd recommend it be able to do something that PwC doesn't, if this makes sense.
