I detailed a silver honda civic today. My intended steps were as follows wash then clay followed by Pw/c Ex-p then natty's wax. After I washed and clayed then applied Pw/c and natty's guess what I forgot to apply ex-p. So I applied the ex-p on top of the natty's just out of curosity, the appearance was stunning. It looked better than my silver mazda 626 with preped paint Pw/c ex-p and natty's. What are the cons (bonding issues etc) of using Pw/c natty's wax then ex-p just curious because that combo blew me away. Sorry I don't have any pics.

I was under the impression u use EX with PWC and PP with EX-P. EX and PWC both have carnunba in them and by using EX-P (sealant without carnuba) over polish w/carnuba does not give optimum results.

Since you covered a wax (especially natty's) you have sealed in a wax that will disappear after time. I think you will have weird bonding and durability.

I have heard you can use PwC with EX-P just fine. Poorboy's Product can work very versatile.

If it looks great, I guess keep it. Just be warned it might not last long. :)

ahhh the beauty of EXperimentation...if it looks good ...keep it:bigups ....now you are a tester to find out hold long that look will last. I'm banking on a good few months:D ....let us know and enjoy:)

runnerbl ...I don't think there is a right or wrong method...if the ingredients in each product, mostly solvents that I'm talking about, can agree with each other and the look is pleasurable to the owner, then the combo works....how long it lasts is really most determined by the coat closest to the finish, everything else is sacraficial and subjective by looks to the person looking at it.:)

Ok Ok I know i didn't use the correct process. I had forgot a step in the process, just wanted to see what the outcome would be by expermenting. I really like the look of Pw/c, natty's wax and ex-p. I figure there may be some type of bonding issues etc. I have used ex and ex-p with Pw/c with no problems. Tomorrow I'm doing my harley truck(black/silver). I will use Pw/c Ex-p and natty's wax I really like the reflective look of ex-p and natty's. Thanks for the replys.

I'm not in the least concerned about how long anything will last. I can't keep my hands off the PC and can't keep the lid on the PP long enough to let anything dry let alone wear off! :D ;) :cool
