putting NXT on top of many Zaino layers

OctaneGuy, congrats on your car. Looks like you've settled on a regimen that works very well for you. Also, thanks for setting the record straight....

Hey no problem! Thanks! My MINI has got me possessed!! Glad I had a chance to let it be known. I found it peculiar to hear that cause I haven't been all that vocal on the forums about either Zaino or NXT in awhile. Or maybe that was the reason. I dunno. Doesn't matter.

Btw, also, I love the picture above that Mike posted of my car, except don't look at my wheels. LOL. That's a few hours of brake dust, and MOST of the time, my wheels are spotless. :D

Hope all is well OctaneGuy! I had to post a better pic then Mike did!

I just used the NXT today on my hood which had AIO and Z5x3 on it already.Perhaps this may have had something to do with it I don't know but I could not see any swirl filling or hiding benifit that other people have reported.Other than that I liked the ease of use and smell.

Hey Newport Viper! Yeah much better pic. Btw, thanks for letting me drive your Viper the other day. All I can say is OMG when I tell my friends. I have a couple of friends in Missouri who race, these are serious race cars for the track (Trashdog Motorsports) and when I told them about my experience they laughed since they had driven the Vipers before and they said its a similar feel to their own cars. LOL. I think they can use some NXT too!

I think NXT has a greater shine but Zaino creates a better "wet looking" finish.

I'm not to sure about that.Being a Zaino fan for sometime I really like what NXT did for my Black AV.I just did a second coat today on the hood and I like the results.

sorry, I should have said , NXT appears to give "wetter looking finish" for dark colours only. Those previous pics of that yellow viper did not appear "wet looking" whatsover, but rather "high gloss to "shiny"

Which protects the paint better, though? Zaino, I thought, was a lot better and protecting the paint vs NXT.

yes.. but in 1/4 of the time, you can get an almost close shine with NXT .. or so the argument continues.. :D

Zaino protects for a longer period of time, however, I have found it to be a tad susceptible to water- spotting. I haven't really done a legitimate side-by-side comparison to other products, however, I seem to get less water-spots when using a carnauba or other sealants like PUPP.

Interesting thing with NXT is that a few weeks ago, I thought my 3-week old application was pretty much dead, but after washing my car last night, the water/sheeting, slickness and smoothness still seem to be there. So it's been about 6 weeks since my last application and it's still going strong.....much better results than my first shot at this stuff.

Funny you should mention that about the spotting I have noticed this also and I thought it was just me.
