Pump-Up Sprayer

I currently have the sprayer from HD and one from Lowes. If I was to buy again, I would buy from lowes. The HD sprayer died on me after a couple times of using Megs Wheel Brightener. The one from lowes has a brass sprayer so I am sure it is more chemical resistant making it a better purchase.

If you are going to use thewse with any chemicals you need to buy the units with Viton seals. These are chemical resistant seals. Failure to do this will lead to the unit not being able to hold pressure due to the seals being deteriorated. You can usually order a viton seal kit from the manufacturer if your dies.

I have a Lowes version and I used it to spray vinegar on a car that was covered in cement. It worked great! Definitely worth the money!

So everyone keeps talking about chemically resistant sprayers or kits or whatever, but aren't these sprayers designed for chemical pesticides?

Or is this apples to oranges?

I saw talk of putting tire dressing in them... If it is thick dressing they are not too great for that... I recommend getting a $50 Wagner electric sprayer for your tire shine. Optimum Tire Gel diluted down in a Wagner sprayer and you will save heaps of product from less overspray and can use it on tires, engine compartment, trim, wheel wells, bumpers, etc.
