Haha, Just bought that same sprayer on friday from HD... Have yet to use it, but for 6 bucks im sure its worth it...

Yes I bought one couple of weeks ago... LOVE it... Nothing like filling up just once and being able to clean all the rims, tires, and wheel wells..

I just happen to stop by Dollar General store a few mins ago, for something totally different, and happen to see them there for $4. I wasnt planning on getting one, as I have plenty of spray bottles.... but for that price, I ended up getting 2 just because who can pass up a deal??

Now I have to buy something to put in them. lol

we had another thread going on this topic. The pump up sprayers are super-handy for those chems you use over and over.

I bought this SOLO sprayer last year, very nice:

I also found one at Ace Hardware that works well, too.

I;ve always just used your everyday 2 gal. chemical sprayer from any lawn and garden center for all my APC applications. Thought that was pretty much commonplace in the detailing world.

Tom where did you pick up that sprayer? it looks pretty nice.

I have this HD sprayer and have used it a few times. Overall I think its ok, my complaint is my doesn't spray the best pattern, kinda off center.

The other day I was getting a part to fix my lawn mower and I saw some stihl hand pump sprayer. They looked really robust, but I was afraid to even ask the price.

What section/department are they in at Home Depot?

Hi, I'm quite certain it's the lawn and garden area. They had 3 choices, IIRC. The one I got worked out well, I'm pretty sure it was around $6 or $8...worth every penny.

Solo One Hand Sprayer - 1 Liter - Shanes Tack

Search on "sprayer" at this website...you're in for quite a surprise !!

I got the SOLO here. Very nice unit. It'll probably be $20 by the time it's delivered. Is it worth 2X what I paid for the HD/Ace Hdwe version? Probably not, but I do like the more compact size and it's got a finer sprayer on it.

Thanks for the info Tom. looking at the solo site, the 415 is the same one that you can get at Home Depot and it can be found in the pesticides/yard chemical area.

I might have to give the 418 a try.

The selection at your local HD may vary, but when I went last night after reading this thread, the only small, pump style, hand sprayer available was the green and yellow one pictured in the first post. I bought it, but I'm not terribly impressed with it. The volume and spray pattern adjustability on the nozzle is not that great.

10, you might want to try your local hardware store to see what they are selling. Perhaps you'll find something better.

Thanks, I think I might. I'll probably even take a look at Lowe's, since from my experience they have a larger Lawn and Garden department. ACE also always seems to have a nice selection of quality items at times, depending on the location/franchise.

The yellow/green unit from HD is no big loss. Just a few bucks down the drain if I don't like it, and I'm sure I can find some other household use for it even at that.

I use mine with ONR for wheels and wells, but I wonder what else can be put in there...

APC as said before would be a good idea for the wheels/wells or engine bay...

ONR for a pre-spray prior to washing...

what about hyper dressing? I don't have it, but would it work being as the nozzle is plastic? I know some people apply HD with an air spray gun, this might be a cheap way to achieve that (although im sure it doesn't spray as nicely or as evenly).

Can anyone think of anything else?

I keep the most often used chems in mine: wheel cleaner and APC.

I haven't ever tried a tire dressing. If you had something with low viscosity, it might work.
