Protein Rich Plasma Injection---has anyone on here had this procedure done?

:bounce My order of AIO & SG has arrived. Now I hope the weather is nice this weekend so I can slap this stuff on one of my new cars. The Grand Prix Gt was waxed a couple of weeks ago. The silver Elantra Gt needs it more because I picked it up last month. Since I found this fourm I have been totally obsessed with all the products and the detailing talk. Very Cool ! Especially with all the great pictures of the great results. I will be posting some pic when its done. Oh...Apply by hand or Orbitor ? I have the Waxmaster 6".

The All in One can be applied with a buffer. Do the Sealant Glaze by hand though. You could buff it off with the machine but apply it by hand. :) You are going to love Klasse. You only have to do 2 coats max of the AIO. More than that doesn't really help. If the car is in really bad shape then use 2 coats of the AIO. If not then go with one and then layer the SG on. It is amazing! :xyxthumbs

Your going to love Klasse. Had good results with AIO and the Orbitor. Tried it with SG and found it actually took me longer, and it was a bit harder to remove. I do SG my hand, dry MF app, like to remove with a terry towel (recent change for me).

Good luck.

I've only applied Klasse by hand (with MF pad) and it turned out great! If you need any tips on drying time and curing time, check out my post here.

Good luck! :up

Alright! Another Klasse'r in Brooklyn!

Now - if only the weather would cooperate...

I'd go with a foam pad to apply by hand, then buff off with the orbital. Doesn't even really need the orbital for buffing, as long as you go thin with application of SG.

Just make sure when applying SG that you put on the SG super thin(TRANSPARENT) or else you will have a sore arm. I really like Klasse, here is a pick after 5 coats of SG

C240 those where the pictures that made me a believer. My GP GT is White. Hopefully I can get my finish to look like that. Great Job & Car :bow

Now a question to my Bklyn bud JohnN, do you know of any top notch window tinters ? Looks like rain this weekend here in NYC.

Klasse looks great on white. Checkout what it did for the reflectivity on my white truck.

When these people say thin, they aren't kidding! On a silver car (or a white car), you should barely be able to see traces of the KSG by straining at various angles under bright light. When I klasse'd my silver car a while back, the product was pretty much invisible and there wasn't any haze after letting it dry. You just have to trust that the product is there. The proof will be in the final results!

Syker-

I had a decent experience with these guys:

Professional Window Tinting

8234 18th Ave.

Brooklyn, NY 11214-2901

(718)256-2807

Corner of 84th (I think - although the 8234 sounds deceiving) and 18th avenue.

I'd say excellent - except they're *reaaaaaly* busy and one of my windows had a slight bubble up, which I had to return to have fixed. They didn't hassle me over fixing it - but they're so damn busy, I had to go back 3 times!

I'd definitely give 'em a buzz first.

Thanks JohnN ! Will give them a Buzz now. Intermezzo330I for the Klasse application of AIO I should not let it dry just apply and keep on buffing till the surface starts to shine ? What would be the best drying time for the SG b4 buffing ?

SKYER,

Correct, there is no need to let KAIO dry before buffing. Just apply it to a panel (or half the hood/roof) with a wrung damp MF/terry applicator or a foam applicator spritzed with a carnauba-free QD and then buff it out right away with an MF towel (or a cotton towel). You only need to buff till the KAIO is removed because your panel will be very shiney and slick right away. It's not like the traditional type of hand polishes that smear and shine up more and more as you buff it more and more. It's also one of the easiest products to use and isn't difficult to see like the KSG.

As for the KSG, it normally takes between 20-45 minutes to dry, but this will depend a lot on the environment temp and how thin you are able to apply the coats. Just apply the KSG as thin as possible and wait about 30 minutes. If the product gums up when trying to buff, then you need to wait a little longer.

Here's a link to some very extensive instructions on how to use Klasse:

Scroll down a bit to Jimwh's post. That's where it all started for me... :)

In July of 2009 I tore my patellar tendon in my right knee. Battled pain for 7 months till I had surgery in January 2010. I was out of work for nearly 3 months recovering. It really hasnt felt right since. Then When I was hospitalized in the ICU from Dec. 18th 2010-Feb 2011 I lost 50% of the muscle in my legs and my knee once again got progressively worse. I had an MRI done 2wks ago and it said this:

Findings:
Patellar tendon and quadriceps tendons are intact. There is diffuse thickening of the patellar tendon. There is a medium partial thickness tear of the patellar tendon at the attachment to the patella. There is adjacent bone marrow edema in the inferior pole of the patella.

Anterior and posterior cruciate ligaments are intact.

No medial meniscal tear is seen.

Slight fluid collections are seen. The muscles about the knee are normal in signal intensity.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I went to a patellar tendon/knee specialist here in Omaha. We discussed all options from pain meds to surgery. Neither of which I am fond of. He brought up a procedure called PRP or protein rich plasma injections. Basically they take some of your own blood out, spin it, remove the plasma and inject it into the tendons that are damaged.

He has seen decent results and it usually takes a few injections for the tendon to heal. But sometimes it doesnt work and surgery is required.

My question is are there any docs on here that have seen/done this procedure? What were the out comes? Also is there any people on here that have had the procedure done and what were your outcomes?

Thanks

Mike

Mike,

Man, you have really had a rough couple of months, and I am so sorry for you. I am by no means an expert on anything dealing with medical issues, but I would suggest you get multiple opinions from various specialists in the field. If you get more then one specialist recommending the same procedure, then there must be some validity to it. Also, make sure that you feel 100% comfortable with whichever doctor that you choose.

Good luck buddy, and keep us posted.

Mike, I work in the ortho business and this something we sell. There are many companies they sell this kind of product. I have seen very good results and this does work. If you do get injected in the office I hope they buffer the PRP because it can burn like acid being injected back in your body and typically insurance does not cover it.
