Protected Leather Care Confusion

I share in your frustration of finding solid information on this topic, OP. I have read quite possibly ever single leather thread on all of the detailing forums and it actually leaves me a bit more confused than smarter about it over the years.

I recommend you read the user "judyb" post history here, especially the arguments that she has with others that are in the leather care industry. I can't remember exactly but I think she works for some leather care company in Europe somewhere.

I will say that after tons of reading I've done over the years, I use leather masters products and they've worked well for me on several different leather conditions and I'm fairly positive that I'm not damaging the leather.

Yes, I've been reading her stuff and from what I gather just use LM products on what I believe are protected leathers. That seems to be the bottom line of all her postings.

I was basically looking for that answer, and I guess it doesnt matter if I have some protected and some leatherette because the LM wont harm the leatherette if it were there. That's the info I needed and I will probably stick to that until I know better otherwise.

Nothing but Woolite to clean and wet white towels to wash off Woolite. Nothing else goes on my leather and it looks like brand new!
