Proper Leaf Blower

Gas blowers are too noisey. I prefer to have a cordless, but battery life is too short (average 10mins). Electric is good, but I hate moving around the car juggling both the unit and the wire from getting stuck under the tires.
 
I have been using this Black and Decker for the last year or so. It has worked perfect every time. I have found that no rechargable I have tried was even near the power of my Toro 225mph electric. I like being able to just insert the battery and get to drying.

I have the black and decker one too and it came with 2 batteries... so I alway have one charging and one in the blower.... makes it easy if the battery goes low I can switch it to the fully charged one.
 
My Ridgid shop vac has teh detachable blower, and that's why I've been using. It's 265 mph, and works great. Plus since it's part of the shop vac it has hoses and small attachments already. I thought it was a pretty sweet deal.
 
I am just happy that you are getting a blower. I read a ton of posts about what drying towel to get and which ones absorb the most water. I couldn't imagine dragging a towel over a completely wet car. So congrats on deciding to get the blower.



Gas blowers tend to be too heavy. I have both gas and electric and will never grab for the gas blower again. When drying the roof and sides, the fumes are tough to handle and the weight is very bothersome.



My electric has a cord because I have yet to find a cordless with enough power. But I have not tried everyone out either.



Weed Eater is what I use and it works fine. But I am sure there are better ones out there.
 
An idea for you electric blower guys,

We all have old discarded large plastic flower pots gathering dust in the yard someplace.

Take one and use a dremel to trim away the parts you don't want to keep and it makes a free tire guide to keep the electric cord / hose from getting crimped under the wheel.

I made 4 in 15 minutes but my only regret is they're dark green and don't match the Imola red car. They work like a champ.

Sometimes I wonder why my head isn't absolutely huge because i really need a lot of space for my massive brain.

Most likely I might get the electric one since it has more power than the cordless. I wonder if I plug it into my cigg lighter would it be as strong and not drain my battery?
 
to the OP... once you sheet off as much water with just the hose, there won't much to blow with the leaf blower...

they are too loud, and there could be oil/gas residue being blown from the inside onto your car and not to mention they are for the most part heavy...
