Proper applicator for new car-Klasse twins and wax topper

I am going to detail my Acura for the first time. First I'll take care of only one scratch on the upper hood ( ) and anywhere else I see problems (  ) with Mother's scratch remover, and then I am going to do the Klasse thing with the P21S topper.

So I am a little unsure of what applicator I should use for each step. It is silver, and has no swirl marks (and I DON'T want to create any).

Should I just use a microfiber towel for the application in each step? Is a foam pad safe? What about the cotton applicator pads I've seen at Pep Boys? What do you suggest?

The foam applicators or the cotton terry applicators are both good. I wouldn't use an MF towel to apply because it would soak up too much product. With either applicator, just wash it first to make sure it is perfectly clean, and you shouldn't have any problems.

I use the Viking handle app when I use Klasse. It gives me more control to put the Klasse SG on lightly. For S100 etc I use plain foam apps.

I agree. I wouldn't use a MF towel to apply wax products. Foam apps are cheap and you can reuse them following wash.

Three absolutely flawless applications of Klasse on silver VW's using the foam covered microfiber applicators from CMA
