Here's the plates Excel sells/recommends for use with the Propel pads - I'm OK as I've got 4", 5" & 6" plates already. If anyone wants to order a 6" pad as part of this, can I ask you to PM me (inbox now cleared) separately please.



Can those buying also PM their full name/address details - may as well get all the relevant info together. Please also indicated whether you want std 1st class post or are prepared to pay for registered/guaranteed - I'll work out a posted cost 1st class for each order (pads fairly light so shouldn't be v.much) and confirm who owes what when it all arrives.



I'm not being tight here but I'd rather not absorb the cost of postage

:wavey howdy lowe. Ive been a 'lurker' for quiet a while (i HATE that term) and like to keep my car in the best condition. Finally the weather around here is good enough for the more serious work to commense!

do you mean the 6" backing plate ?, or 6" pads ?i got 3.5 " plate and 5" plate
 
182_blue; i dont see why the pads won't work on your backing plate, i have some 7" pads and they work fine with my 5" plate. I'd make sure though.



AndyC_1, I think the best way for those who do online banking is to transfer the money straight into your account online - this way there are no additional costs, and its convenient.

Also, an idea for shipping would be sending the pads as "standard parcles" with optional insurance. For me this has been the best value method of posting items to friends, and as it's insured, the posties will tend not to rob the goods (as i've experienced in the past :mad: )

Hi Guys,



I only got my PC on Friday so have a few pads with it, but some xtras are not going to harm.



Am I in time for the group buy, and will these pads fit the SFX backing plate that I got with the kit.



If someone can let me know then I can put in my order for pads.



Is it just for pads or can you order any of the other stuff from prestostore.com???

Graeme, to me these propel pads look alike to the Sonus DAS pads, I think that they will need the 5 inch backing plate to fit in the recess, though the 6 inch backing plate that came with my SFX pads fitted on just not into the recess.



This is off course providing that the Propel pads dont just look the same as the DAS pads but are a different size.

This looks like the Sonus DAS one



But looks as if the 6 inch will work to



6" Propel Backing Plate, Propel Hook/Loop Backing plate for the Porter Cable 7424. Very flexible, lightweight polyurethane material. Excellent for pads requiring additional pressure and even pressure distribution. Use with pads/backing larger than 6 inches to avoid premature pad failure.
