Propane explosion in my in-law's garage

If you use a propane heater, make damn sure you don't have any leaks. Fire marshall said there was a leaky valve which caused the explosion. Thank God nobody was in the garage at the time. It blew the outside wall of the garage off the foundation, melted electrical wires in the house side wall, blew the garage door out, melted the window frames in the garage door, set a table on fire that had over $1000 in small block Chevy parts on it, got so hot it kinda melted some brand new pistons. Hopefully insurance will cover everything. I had originally been planning on being over there today to work on the motor, for some reason I stayed home. Scary but could have been much worse.

Holy cow Rich! That's messed up. I'm glad nobody was hurt. Pretty powerful explosion. I can't imagine being inside the garage while this happened???

I'm pretty sure if someone was in the garage they wouldn't have walked away. There was recently an explosion that took out a whole house and killed two people about 2 miles from me and I felt my couch shake. So this could have been so much worse.
