Project Brightmare - 640 rear wheel hp, made Bright again!!!

Just wanted to report back in, that David's slick polish job is still shiny as ever. The car stays in the garage all the time, no outdoor weather unless its being driven. I think it saved 6 years worth of cleaning labor for me... it's still show ready, just needs a bath and freshen up the detail job to head out to a car show or the track. Thanks again Dave!!!!:getdown

[Insert usual :bow regarding weekendwarrior's work here..]

weekendwarrior- Any reason why you didn't use the Flex 3401 on this one?

stylin99- Woo hoo, bet that's a lot of fun :D How much boost are you running on the E85?

That's the magic of Zaino!!! With the way you treat your car (keeping it garaged), it will probably stay slick for a year. We may need to reapply to the rear quarter panels, behind the rear tires, so all the rubber you burn off those tires at the track doesn't stick!!!

Thanks Accumulator. I had to use the rotary and PFW on the horizontal surfaces, as there was some water spot etching, and some deeper stuff. Sal followed behind me with the Flex though.

I really hated the weather that day. That car looks awesome, and really pops in the sun.

PS - If you have any "beefs" with your neighbors, have Steeve drop off his E85 beast (aka the corncob) at your house, rev it a few times in the driveway and it will rattle their windows!!!

16psi for now. :D

Ah, that does't sound crazy-high, well, assuming you have some beefy intenals... or  is it a stock bottom end (no way it can be stock...I worry about mine with just ~9psi)?

I hear E85 is very boost-friendly with the right tune.

Ah, OK, roger that. I didn't see mention of the Flex follow-up and it had me wondering.

Here is a page from 5.0 Magazine. This car ran a 10.52 quarter...not too shabby.

Thanks for the post David! That was last month's issue Sal, a story on the E85 shootout I went to in St. Louis.

Just my luck, I check out 5.0 and Fast Fords every month when in the stores. Guess which issue I did not look at lol. Great job Steve, congrads on bein in the mag the car is crazy

I know this thread has been beat to death. But figured I'd post up, that you can catch the yellow machine on Pass Time tonight at 9:30 on the speed channel. I ran on the show a couple months ago. Look closely and you can see David's spit shine detail job, glowing under the sunlight. lol
