Yes.

Most pros here will tell you they can get like 40-50 uses out of a 32 oz. bottle of polish. And you don't have to be a pro to realize that the more polish you put on your pad, the more work you create for yourself with smearing, dusting, spatter, etc.

Most of the pros also use a rotary instead of a PC. It stands to reason that they would use less product, and make fewer passes using a rotary vs a PC.

I use a quarter sized amount too but I do have issues with dusting.

That is the amount that I was advised to use by the guys (Meguiar's employees) over on the Meguiar's board, and it works well for me.

I don't buy the "50 uses out of a 32 oz bottle" thing. That equates to .64 of an ounce for an ENTIRE car.

You did a great job on the SS. Don't be such a harsh judge. There are times when you will not get it perfect. Atleast not right away. Just look at the finish in full sun and stand a foot or two back. If its good enough from there, then job well done. You can't detail with a microscope and be sane too! LOL

Thanks for the products bTW.

Well, lets see, I've polished, oh, 15 (yes I counted) vehicles with a 16 oz. bottle of polish, and still have around half a bottle remaining. That is with a PC/UDM.

Sorry if I come off as a bit abrasive tonight, I'm not in a very good mood.

Thanks you are right it was just that I am trying to get into this professionally so I feel like I need to be 100% perfect.

Do you use less the quarter size of polish? Anyways, I know I am using too much but I don't think I could polish 15 cars with 1 bottle.

Again, I am not trying to sound argumentative either, and would love for a professional to chime in. The amount of product I use (and that BMW was kind of an exception as it was thrashed), is in line with what the experts (Meguiar's Employees) recommended I use, so that is what I am going to stick with. On a car that isn't as thrashed as that BMW, I think I typically use around 4 ounces via the PC, and even less when I use my rotary.

Hey, got some more pics of it done... The only thing that has AIO and P21s is the hood.

This pic has no wax or anything on it.

It looks good!!

Everyone on here is crazy about KAIO, but why dont you try the British version Autoglym Super Resin Polish. It would do an idea job of conceiling the swirl marks that remained. It also cleans and seals the paintworks.

Well, I bought KAIO about a year ago and this is the first time I have used it but since I want to get into professional detailing I think I might go with Poli-Seal.

Looks good, love the F-body's.

Maybe use Menzerna next time, it's said to be one of the best.

Any mods on the SS?

Are you running the sock exhaust with the long tubes and "Y"? Cats or no cats.

Any 1/4 mile times or dyno numbers?

Yeah I had all of that but it looks like I lost it..

Fastest time was 12.1

and the dyno was 345 at the wheels..

I still have videos of it running but I don't run the car. It spends most of the time in the garage.

omg after looking at it closely on the rear spoiler there are tons of ****ing micro scratches. I don't know what I did wrong... I have been working on this car for 7 hours. The car looks great until you get super close. Nothing takes the scratches out....

problem I had on the SS I used to have was the SLP painted parts (hood and spoiler) had a different finish than the GM painted parts. I knew one dude who wetsanded the GM parts and it looked incredible and actually matched the hood and spoiler then. good improvement with a PC. maybe a local with a stronger machine and more experience can see what they can do with a panel.
