Professional Detailing ?

Could someone tell me what a professional detailing includes?...



I have some chips and scratches in the paint of my car, and I would like to know if a regular detailing, like those at the local car wash will fix those up.



Also How much should I pay for such a service(fair price).



I am clueless about this stuff. Any help is appreciated.

Chip repair is not something usually included in a full detail.



They should have a list of everything they do on a full detail.



You will have to ask if they do paint touch-up and how much they charge. You could end up with them just running around your car with a bottle of paint somewhat close to the color of your car just dabbing it on. It won't look good.



You might also get one of the places who uses an airbrush to touch-up paint. Those come out looking really good.
 
For chip repair the best place to have this done is at a body shop. Take your car to several shops and get estimate. Ask them what steps they'd use to do the repairs. Find out if they warranty their work.



I have no idea what this would cost but I'd imagine it varies quite a bit from shop to shop.
