Professional Detail Inspection Form and Customer Acceptance

The company I retired from has an Inspection and Customer Sign-Off form available for free.

Apparently, some have called Beth at Automotive International requesting the form be emailed to them and failed to either provide a correct email address or she got it wrong.

This lady, Beth, is very professional and works hard to fulfill any reasonable requests.

However, some have called and due to things that happen, either she wrote it down wrong or the person gave her an address that she didn't get right.

Beth has requested that anyone who wishes the form to EMAIL her, so the request may be fulfilled.

Please contact Beth at bethb@autoint.com should you wish to receive this "free" form.

She will email it to you in a PDF format so you can print it out and copy for your use.

Beth would really appreciate your using her email address for such requests so both are happy with the results.

Simple, I am retired, I don't work for them anymore. Beth has the control of such, plus after years on here, I still can't put a photo up on the main forum threads.

Goes with being an old fart I guess.

Plus, if someone is really interested, why would I do their work when they can just email her?

Hey Ron,

What about the defects you miss on the initial (3 minute) walk around ?

IMO you are basically admitting fault to ANY AND ALL other defects in writing

I for one would NEVER use a form like this. I look for the obvious curb rash/dents. Other then that.....

There is NO WAY you will find ALL the defects on a dirty car. Especialy being rushed

No problem from me.

I realize that it does not fit everyone's needs and so they can modify it to fit their needs.

At least it provides a template, so ideas, for detailers to use.

Make it your own, take out what you don't feel is required.

Key is to get the contact information, to get acceptance of the customers and use it to "up-sell" add on services, rather than just a standard $XXXX detail.

Hi Ron,

I think I was the one who caused the confusion, sorry about that. I did email Beth and she promptly replied with an email and the Prep Excellence form attached. I have to thank you and Beth very much for continuing to provide such professional services to the detailing community, the form is excellent and a great help in starting up my own business!

If that form features a diagram of a vehicle, it will be invaluable to me because I have a few details coming up. I do have the original questions from that form from years ago, and I had been photocopying my own form ever since combining those questions with a diagram I found on my own. I got the diagram off of the form from Horseless Carriage back when I moved to FL.

I will definitely look at the AI form. Thanks Ron, for calling our attention to it.

Can't wait to see this form if it's actually posted here. It's got to be the same one that I got from years ago we just need a good diagram for it

We did not put a "diagram" on the form for a few reasons, mostly to do with OEM customers and as it was designed for dealerships, one would have to have car, wagon, and two sizes of vans.

Instead, it has "panel readings", with area to write next to them, any notes for the panels.

i would be willing to give out my form once i complete my new ones :] please just shoot me some credit for it! send me a P.M. if you are interested
