products with "fillers"

Hi guys!!!!:) :howdy

I´m detailing a black GM car next week. the car history is not preety!! for three times the owner polished the car in a GM dealer, and each time the car paint came worst, so he turned to me for help!!
I´m afraid that those previous jobs could have affected the clearcoat, so I´ll do a very light polish/cleaning to remove some very light swirls, and then advance to a LSP.
so I was wondering, as this is a particular case, I´ll need to apply products with some "fillers" capability, wich is the LSP or pre-LSP with more "fillers", poorboys PWC a good pre-LSP, does it have anny filling capabilities?? Klasse SG???Your opinions , please!!!

any opinions on other products are very welcome!!!!!:) :bigups

THANKS

Not so much fillers in the old sense--it doesn't fill cracks pers se. But it does hide because of its depth. Other than glazes, I don't know any products that actually fill--maybe that colour series by Turle, I haven't used it.
If you can det out the marring marks and put on a nice wax, you'll have a good result.

Three rotary jobs cannot be THAT bad that you couldn't try a proper polishing.

Rather do this one correctly, and teach him how maintain the finish. Go with mild but effective combos such as OC & OP then follow with NXT paste ×2 (cleans, fills really well and quite durable!) and then some #21 ×2 for durability and stability. It will look magnificent!

the car had been polished via rotary other times and believe me when I say that they have done a great job destroying the clear coat!!!! the second time they polished the car, some parts of the paint looked and felt like sandpaper!!!! they polished the car, and than didnt apply any kind of LSP!!!! I clayed that part of the paint and "voilá", smooth again!!!
So, I´ll use, as You suggested, a mild combo to polish the paint, and then If some deeper swirls remain, I want to use a LSP with some filling capability!!!OC I understand to be used on a medium/hard job, on the other hand, I´ll problably use SSR2, and then follow with PWC, topping it with nattys, or KLASSE SG.

opinions, please!!!

I don't think that the SG will bond and give its full potential for long term protection after pwc due to the C = Carnauba

Well it sounds like the finish is pretty trashed. You are probably going to need to do the proper polishing to get any good results IMO. Without seeing it is hard to determine what it'll need. The rotary wouldn't cause the 'sandpaper' paint either. I don't know which products use fillers because I like to remove the defects. I think that 3M SMR has fillers in it FWIW. A glaze would probably be your best bet.

megs gold class liquid on a rotary at low speed works wonders ... lots of fillers .. its my black car problem solver when the customer doesnt want to spend money on a 3 step job

If clay alone could restore the paint smoothness, then the finish is not in THAT bad shape and it most likely had just above-surface contamination. Remember, the abrasives in clays are equivalents to 10-14.000 grit, so fairly mild.
