Can someone give me a good list of products that darken your paints color? I personally love this look and wanna try some new ones that I have'nt before. What are your favorites for altering your paints color??? ;)

Any meguiars LSP with the exception of #16.

Their prep products combined with the LSP's will really darken your paint.

Isn't it really the prep that darkens the vehicle? I can remember doing my Denali last year and it was a little swirled up combined with some rotary holograms, and after I kicked its a-s-s with 3M FCRC and a cutting pad, I really noticed the richness, darkness and clarity of the black paint (after following with 3M MG and a polishing pad). Adding #26 did nothing that noticeable that made me say "wow that darkened the paint". It added slickness and left the car protected.

After I polish, I know the hard work's over and its time to simply protect and add a bit more gloss.

Some waxes actually darkens the paint. Also, some polishes that contains a lot of polishing oils also darkens paint. The wax that I found to darken the most is NXT wax. If you really want a deep dark reflection, try souveran on a black car. Very very nice.

P21s and Souveran.

Souveran more so than the P21S (at least side-by-side on my Jag).

And yeah, BF darkened Audi silver quite a bit for me (another side-by-side with an identical car that had 3M Showcar Paste Wax).

IMO it just depends on the paint and it's condition. On black, I'd say the prep can really make a big difference.

OTOH, I've seen huge differences on Audi silver attributable strictly to the choice of LSP (identical prep).

Thanks for all the replies. It looks like I have a few new products to try, including blkfire and nxt. I have the souveran :xyxthumbs already in the aresenal and it's my personal fave. I'm surprised nobody mentioned CM with the souveran. The first time I used it I noticed an even darker appearance. I have the RMG but have yet to test it. I think I will do this under the souveran 1st before I spring for even more products. If any other good products slipped through the cracks, please let me know...

Nxt tech wax has been brought up a few times, and now that I think about it I have seen it in action on a friends car. It does really darken the paint. He used a PC to apply it, so I'm not sure of the difference in hand application? Does anybody know if it has those "trade secret oils" in it that they always promote? If so, what's the lowdown on these "trade secret oils"? Is that where most of the "darkening" is coming from?
