I've never used ZAIO, but most people agree 501 > 105. In my limited experience, I agree.

I'm no pro, but I used Zaino products for years and switched to DG mainly for the economics. For the most part I used ZAIO topped with Z2 then Z8 on a Granite Green Passat but experimented with Z5 for awhile. Now using 601/105 topped with Aquawax. Granite Green is a metallic medium green/grey paint and I find the DG combo to have a warmer, deeper look to it--brings out the grey tones in the paint, but still the candy apple glow of a sealant. The look is closer to Z5 than Z2, but even warmer. So far durability is on par with the Zaino, easy to use and far less expensive.

I believe Porta's chart is pretty accurate, but would add that DG501 might also be considered like ZAIO but with a little more cleaning ability.

Bill, your right on, DG253 is a great tire dressing. I use it all the time..
