Products producing gloss

Detail time!
Hey everyone.

I am curious, what products are people are using for a nice glossy/wet look??

It could be from polishing, glaze, wax, sealant, whatever.

This may seem like a very broad topic but I'd like to hear people's opinions of this topic today. Getting products to look wet / glossy on silver is very hard and that is what I am trying to do.

FWIW, my best results are kind of 50/50 clear and glossy. I'd like to, if possible make the paint just pop with a glossy wet look. This is from AIO, SG x a few, S100 spit shined with OCW a few times:

Also with gloss though:

Is there any combo you use for the ultimite gloss?? Or just general thoughts about gloss ie- Carnaubas produce better gloss / wetness than sealants (just an example).

Or would I be better off with leaving the metalic flake pop on silver?

Thanks for your replies!

For me the best wettest looking finish that I have come up with is

SSR1 for swirl removal
P-w-C for smoothing out ( overkill )
Pink hand glaze by FK1
Wolfgang high gloss sealant
Topped with Natty's the next day

That's mine

Thanks for the info Dave. I don't have the FK1, but I do have the others... I guess I should pay more attention to the WG product "High Gloss Sealant". I like WG on dark colors but haven't tried it on a light color.... yet. Won't hurt to try.

Do you think the FK1 glaze adds a lot of gloss when used with PwC, WG, Natty's? Or would the differences in gloss be lessened without using the FK1.

I know that some will disagree with me, but when I have the time to glaze, I think that it adds POP to the paint, on lighter colors its real noticeable, but on my black BMW I love the sizzle.

I use to use 3M hand glaze until I got this FK1 but really I think they both produced about the same

All right, thanks for the info. It seems like I have lately been go, go, go with detailing and just do enough to get the paint in "great" shape again. I'm going to have to take the extra time and get everything done for the maximum results this time.

After the paint is properly prepped I always thought EX-P looked pretty darn good on light colors. I haven't had a chance to try my sample of PWS yet, but I'd think that topped with EX-P would be a nice combo on silver.

I must be missing something here.
You are wanting to improve on that????
Looks pretty darn good to me. :)

It looks like what you should be using is:
AIO, SG x a few, S100 spit shined with OCW a few times.

I would just keep on doing what you are doing now.

I've used VM under EX and WG, and both combinations gave me a nice wet look.
This was VM, EX then topped w/PinkWax

Thanks Charles. I agree those pictures show great gloss but I was curious what other products could do the same/if not better. The gloss didn't quite stay in that condition for a long time ... but the protection was still there.

FK1, ClearKote and Duragloss are on (and have been) my "to buy" list .... money permitting .
