Products over 1Z?

One last question for ya. I have my PC and 1Z products in hand courtesy of Detailers Paradise (Thanks Nick!) and am going to work on my car tomorrow for HIN LA. But I need to know if after UP, PP, and one coat of MP would I benefit for another coat of MP the morning before the show? Or just follow with a carnuba topper ie P21S? TIA
 
Hmmm... Personally, I would stop after the coat of MP. If you really find it necessary to put carnauba over it, that would be ok. But, MP already has plenty of carnauba and polymers that add extra gloss. Make sure you're not doing more work than you need to. BTW, the MP will leave good results for up to two months -- when we don't have a lot of rain like these last couple of weeks!! :) Have fun at the show!

I use Zaino products with so so results. I'm on a quest to get the swirls out of my paint to improve the look. I decided to go with the 1Z as my swirl remover. I will be using a PC 7336 and CMA pads.



My question is, after I do the swirl remover with the 1Z what are my options after that. Can I even use my Zaino again? If so do I need to re-dawn, then Z1 again then work up my Z2 again? Thanks in advance, STeve
 
The labels are different but the product is the same here in the US. I purchased a can locally and asked mike this very question.
 
So Mike, I have ANOTHER show this weekend. What should I do to touch up the finish for that extra depth and gloss. It's only been a week since I did the full detail with PP and MP prior to HIN. I have Express in hand also. Should I use that? Thanks.
 
Hey bro,

I tried the express and it takes it to another level man. I applied it with a white pad the gloss is ridiculous. I would do that or maybe try it with the black pad and top with glanz or p21s wax.
 
Glanz Wax topped by NXT or S100 is awesome!!! really reflective and wet.



just got a sample of waxpolish soft. i'll be using it between layers of PP and GW.

These are all very good suggestions. I wish our Detail Spray/Lackfinish were available because this will be a great solution for you. Speaking of which, it will be available in May. Good luck in the show and send some pics my way of HIN and this weekend's show.

Steve, sorry I didn't see your question.



I'm not familiar with the use of products such as Zaino to be able to give you an answer. I've read somewhere on a board that you can not apply Zaino on top of 1Z without washing the paintwork first because of silicones in our polishes. But, considering that there are several varieties of silicone and that a simple wash with dishwashing detergent probably won't remove all the product, I'm not sure how useful that advice was or how much truth there is to it.



Perhaps someone else here knows?

BTW, for all you inquiring minds out there, P21S Paste is great after MP, but honestly it could have done with out it like Mike has said previously. The finish after the 1Z products alone was incredible, but with my dark blue paint, I wanted a little more. My buddy with the silver GTi skipped the P21S becasue his car already looked amazing...1Z is incredible on silver!

Extreme Autofest was great...we took home 6 trophies!



I didn't get a chance to use Express...didn't have enough time before the show. But it was pretty amazing, the car looked as good as it did from the last show the week before after just a minor QD. This 1Z stuff is incredible. :D
