As the title stays anyone experience products going bad after long periods of time?? I just put a coat of WG sealant on the van and when I opened the bottle it had a very strong chemically smell to it, kinda similiar to a gasoline smell. It was pretty strong and I am positive it didn't smell like that in the summer. The WG is as old as when it debuted in March. I also noticed it with my EX-P, although not as strong as the WG. The EX-P was bought in the summer. It had a hint of chemical to the "banana boat" smell. Its as if only my sealants are doing this. I really can't comment on the Clearkote stuff because they had a strong chemical smell to them when I first got them. As for my other polishes they all seem to be fine, including the WG polish which had the same smell as when I got it. I keep all my polishes and waxes together in a large rubbermaid plastic container, which I leave in my basement because its more or less the same temperature year long. I just recently moved everything from the main room to the wine cellar because with the furnace on in the winter it gets pretty hot in the basement. I'm hoping the coolness in the wine cellar will lessen the effect. I'm also thinking about looking online for some big packets of desiccant silica gel(the packets in new shoes) to keep in the container to remove some moisture. Any other ideas or comments are welcomed.
