Ok well it seems like i have the best of both worlds. i have an acura CLS and have been told and heard that they have soft clear coats, its also silver so swirls do make an occasional appearance. anyone have some chemicals for suggestion. thanks

honestly IP and FPII work wonders on my super soft C.C. and my car has a black base coat :( lol

I have to finish any polishing with a Blue LC finishing pad for total swirl removal. anyother pad will leave marring of its own even with no pressure (even lifting the machine slightly to reduce the weight of the machine). One positive thing of soft C.C. (hahaha I justify this positive in my head to make it seem not so bad :lol ) is that marring is removed easily. Just go slow if you got a D/A and practice with different pressures to get the finish you are looking for.

one other thing......you are going to have to learn REALLY good washing techniques. I would suggest checking out Accumulators special washing technique.

just find a good finishing polish and you should be good to go. SSR1, OCP, FPII/85RD/106FF, etc etc. All these finishing polishes will help maintain that soft clear.

A foam gun is going to be your best friend when washing if you hope to go for any extended length of time without polishing.
