Product Selection Help(horrible swirls)

Hello,



So I need help selecting products to finish this detailing job that I began for a friend.

So I used my UDM with the orange DAS pad and Meguiars Mirror glaze #9. (pictured below)

The results are below. I did not take the pictures so they are not really ideal to show how much/little it corrected but they do show it a little bit.

I have been looking at smaller (5.5") pads and stronger polishes but would really like some suggestions.



I have been looking at optimum polishes due to price for what you get.



Ideas/suggestions?



Also, what is a good glace to get LC CCS 5.5" pads?

#9 isn't very abrasive. If your looking at getting polishes locally, look for meguairs #83. With multiple passes, it should do the job. If your looking at ordering online, I would look for menzerna IP and FPII. They are, IMHO, far superior to meguiars. As far as pads, get them from www.danase.com .

I know the #9 isn't very abrasive. I bought it becasue of that, as it was my first polish with the UDM, I didn't want something harsh, and I found it locally. I wanted to be able to correct any mistakes if I made them.



I dont mind ordering online. I am sure most products discussed on the forum are better than meguiars(with the exception for the few frequently talked about).

I agree with GC as you need a more agreesive polish for those and the DACP (#83) would fit the bill and should bring those right out. The Optimum polish would be a good choice for a follow up polish to correct any marring by the DACP and then you can go to your LSP of choice, but since you already have the #9 it would work very well also.
 
Danase.com for the pads, i wont use pads any bigger than 6" on a DA, they are useless.



The rest of your questions, well, its painfully obvious what you need to do/get.

Well I can't afford a rotary so I have to make due.
 
DACP on an orange pad will fix it - it will just take a little while. If you can justify 20 bucks more, a 4" orange pad, backing plate, and Hi-Temp Extreme Cut will save some pretty serious time over DACP.
