Review Conditions:
Outside Temp: Shade 59.9°
Surface Temp 100°
Weather: Clear, slight breeze, light to no pollen count.

Machine use in test: G100a with a Meguiar's W-8006 Foam Polishing Pad, Meguiar's edgeless white micro fiber.

Packaging & Labeling:
packaged 16oz bottle
Labeling Typical no frill labeling. just the way i like it.

instructions on label: Well written, easy to read and understand
Unnecessary information missing: Fluid Oz and MSDS. LOL

Does the product do what the manufacturer claims it does?
Yes, Dusting was slight, but the dusting did not stick to the surface so clean up was very easy, In the environment i was using there was a slight oily residue left behind that wiped after using a damp Micro fiber with water. This product took out DIS (Driver Installed Swirls) to micro scratches from poor washing technique during winter conditions.

Value:
Is the product a good buy? In my option it will be a staple in my detailing arsenal.
How much per ounce? $0.99
Does a little go a long way? yes, with proper use a 16oz bottle will do 3 1/2 -4 Dodge Dakota Club Cab Pick-ups with a hard Tonneau cover.

Ease of use: I used this product with a PC, Very easy to use and clean up, I did not use this product by hand or rotary.

Experience Level usage: This product can be used by Novice or Pro detailers.

Attributes:
Texture Off White Creamy to the touch, semi liquid, much like a slightly thick Pancake batter with out the lumps (lol)
Smell Pro Polish has a polish smell to it, no perfumes added as far as my sniffer can tell.

Veh. used on: 2003 Dodge Dakota (Clear Coat) ARE Tonneau cover ( Gelcoat with a Glamour Urethane Clear)

Final Thoughts: (IMHO)
I liked the original Poorboy's Pro Polish but it slung product like water, so most of my prep time was used to tape off areas like cowling, door handles and other places to prevent the slung product from entering where I did not want it to be. This New and Improved formula (the remix) is some of the best I have tried. There was No slinging of this product what so ever even with a finishing pad on High speed, dusting was minimal to non existent. (6)

Starting conditions, Slight swirling, massive micro scratches.

Lower portion of photo is finished, center still shows slight swirling after first application, upper is not done. I did each section twice because I was trying to get rid of some deeper scratches, it did well using a finishing pad which has very low cut.

Amount of product used to do a 24"x30" rectangle, tapping pad 5 times on surface before polishing , lower left-upper right, upper left-lower right, center.

Photo of surface temp (sorry for the poor guilty but both thermometers show 99°-100°)

Polished surface reflection shot unfinished (No Wax or Polymer) Just to give you a little depth perspective the salt barn is 120' the bus is 200+ the wood line behind the trailers are at least a1/16th of a mile.

Thanks for taking the time to read my review.

Very nice review. Good picture to show product and results.

Am wondering if you know when the new re-mix formulation came about? I am a real proponent of ProPolish. Have had my ProPolish, I would guess, about five months. Since I only use it on my personal vehicles I have at least a half a bottle left. Do you think that my bottle is the new formulation?

IF reviewing the new formulation do you have any comment between the old and the re-formulated ProPolish?

Thanks for taking time to review such a useful products.

Thanks in advance for any thoughts that could enlighten me on the differences between the two.

As far as I know the big issue with the (old) Pro-P was slinging, i doubt they mess with a good thing either then making it a bit thicker.

I did not feel any difference between the new/old formula, the new did not sling out from under the pad like milk. nor did I notice any difference in the time this product worked it's pace, what it did is save me time and money but not having to have to tape off all exposed areas of the trim.

Hey BC, thanks for the answer to my questions. When I grow up maybe someday I can figure out how to get all those quotes into one post.

Sling has never been a problem for me in the use of the PC. I tend to use less product and smaller areas. Mostly because I tend to work on my Black truck for a week at a time. Taking several hours to do a door. Then try again the next day with another section until the truck is completely worked over.

Great,thorough review-----excellent~!

Is this polish the same as PB Polish w/carnauba and PB Polish?

I just used that last weekend and topped with EX on a new VW GTI-Red, and I still have some lite swirls. I used a white LC pad to apply with little or no pressure on my PC.

Think I should clay again and re-do with SSR1, and if so, a white or ornage pad? I don't want to reduce the clear for some lite swirls only visible close up in direct sunlite.

Here's the pics----you really can't see the siwlrs in them:

I am not familiar with the complete Poorboy's line-up, it is definitely not the Pb polish w/carnauba.

If i'm not mistaken the LC pads are:
Yellow-Cutting
Orange- Light cutting
White-Polishing
Black-Finessing
Blue-Finishing
You ALWAYS want to use the least aggressive method first. In your write-up you did not state what, (if any) pads you used... so what ever pad you used try using the next pad down on the list, you might have 1. not worked the product enough. or 2. worked the product to much... there is that fine line we all try to balance on.... OHH By the way you car look SWEET... keep up the good work.

FreeBIZZ,

1) No need to clay again since you've just done that.
2) My experience says that VW paint is pretty tough. You won't do any correcting using
little or no pressure on my PC
. You are going to have to "lean into it" a bit. You can try the PB PwC with the white LC pad again and see if does any good, but you may have to step up with product and/or pad to work that VW paint.

If the swirls are barely noticeable, and since you've got those EX applications in place you could postpone re-doing your work for later in the season.

Nice ride, though I can't yet get used to that front fascia. I was looking at one the other day at the dealership while waiting on some service work on the NB TS.

you can Hijack my post any time. (as long as it get you the info you need to become better at Detailing.)

a lot of us here like to help, thats what it's all about. Right?
