Product Review: Autopia Clay Kit

Brian,

It's somewhat different. It does not foam like a soap, it's just slick like a soap. I never got any foaming, residue, or streaking at all. Even on hot surfaces. It really is quite unique.

Sounds good, I look foward to see what DavidB will offer to us, I'd for one would be more than happy to send my detailing $$$ his way.

Me too :)

SRL,

Thank you for your kind words on the review. I'm glad you like GLIDE, BLOCK & WAFFLE.

In keeping with our "no SPAM" policy, I'm going to hold myself to the same standards that I hold all vendors. That being the case, I shall not answer any Autopia product question here in the general forum. Anyone interested can send me a PM.

I will open an Autopia Car Care forum soon, which I have also offered to a number of vendors. So far, no takers. CMA is sponsoring us again, but they indicated they are too busy right now to be involved in a CMA forum area. They are in the middle of installing a new warehouse/order processing system. Let's wish them well... it's a big job.

I am excited!! I hope there are more products coming from Autopia since I would feel very comfortable in their quality.

I had my first go with Autopia clay tonight and have nothing but good things to say about it.

The clay bar was exceptional, it was soft enough to really pull out the contaminants, but didnt streak or smear.

The lube was by far, the best clay lube I have ever used. Better than the QD's or soap mixture i normally use. It was super slick, and didnt leave a residue.

:up :up to Glide and Block!

Did you have to rewash the car after claying? I've always had too. The lube + clay left a kind of white residue that didn't seem to come off with just buffing with a towell. I'd always have to dawn wash, then clay, then dawn wash again, then start detailing.

I should get my clay soon (like monday) and can't wait to try it out.
