Just traded in the 04 Ram QC (Black) Hemi for a brand new Chrysler 300C AWD in Brillant Black that appears to have metallic flakes in it. I am in need of recommendations on what products to purchase for this daily driver that is Black with Metallic flakes in it. I currently have the following items that I used on my Black Ram:

Pakshak Micro Fibers

Meg Gold Class Wash

Menzerna Twins - almost out

Zaino - with Z2, Z5, Z6 - running out

PC 7424

Pads- need new ones

What items should I be looking at to make this baby really stand out with the metallic. I am open to all suggestions....

Since you are familiar with the Zaino line of products why would you want to look elsewhere? Get Z7, ZPC, ZFX, Z2Pro and Z8. Z5 for a little more depth. Do not forget to clay the car. If it is new and only minor defect correction is needed these products will make a car look terrific with protection.

Pak shak has wonderful MF products. So does Excel.

Excel also has propel pads that work with a PC at a reasonable price. Sounds like propel has a new and improved version of their propel pads coming out soon.

There are many more products available that will make your care shine. Poorboy's and FinshCare to name just two. How much time do you want to spend on your new car? Lots of questions that need to be answered in order for you to get a resonable response. Most products will make you happy. How hard are you willing to work?

I have used a lot in the last two years. All have their good points. I enjoy experimenting but if I want looks and a known durabilty I have gone with Zaino line. As of late Collinite has been getting a lot of good reviews for both durability and looks.

If you want to try something other than Zaino I would look into Poorboy's World products, Clearkote (I currently use this on my dark blue metallic GTO and love the look) and I would also consider the newcomer, Jeff's Werkstatt products. UPP and WG are also both nice and very easy to work with, and have worked wonders for me on dark metallics.

I think having a few essential items would be necessary. A good paint cleaner like AIO, Prime, etc, a decent sealant like EX-P, FMJ, UPP, and then a nice assortment of waxes used for different purposes, natty's blue for beatuy, collinite for durablity, etc.

Like you said above, get new pads, your going to need them for black. I use lake country and have never had a problem with them, propels from excel are cheap and have had great reviews here.

Your going to want to get new polishes when your current ones are gone. Menzerna now makes a few finish polish other than FPII. They are PO85RD and PO106FF. Both give a shine that is unseen from many other polishes. Considering you have black I might think about getting one of them. For regular polishes, do a search. That has been talked about a number of times.

you'll be fine with what you have.. i used sonus pads, many here use lake country

I'd pc it, then maybe add z-pc and z2 pro into the mix with z8 and then post in click n brag , I"ll have my shades ready :D
