product for rust prevention on outdoor covered motorcycle?

dfoxengr- Noting again that it's easy for me to spend other people's money...I keep thinking you oughta have a can of Wurth Rost Off on the shelf.  They make a few version of it these days, but I've only used (and I like) the original formula.

Looks like the Wurth is a Teflon spray lubricant, which is very similar to the LPS One I have. It seems more suited to stuff like trailer tongues and trailer jacks. It doesn't really dry into a film, but it does fight off rust well.

Lithium grease wont work for my application because it would change the appearance too much and sling off when I get to ride the bike,

I really think the Boeshield is the ticket since it drys into a wax based film and is also clear.

Lots of euro riders raving about ACF-50 which is also for aerospace. Sounds promising but hard and expensive to find in the US. They do say though that it also can attract a lot of dirt/dust, but really does prevent rust.

dfoxengr- I was pretty surprised by how well the Wurth Rost Off cleaned corrosion off some bits on the Crown Vics, really did "derust" them and left them somewhat protected.  Not *much* of a film, but more than you might expect.  Heh heh, if you were local to me we could trade/compare such products as we both seem to care about them more than the average Autopian.

Yeah it's sad that i overthink this sort of thing, haha. But finding a good product that is perfect for a need is a good feeling.

Just used the Wurth Rost Off today, did a quick wipe on the rotor hats of the '93 Audi, the surfaces that contact the wheel hubs, while putting on the winter wheels/tires.

WD-40 worked for my dirtbikes and quad (back in the day), in very humid ambient. Wash bike, spray a can of it all over (except tires and seat). Then Wiped down plastics. Creates a film and makes it easier to hose off dirt next time around. It also worked great on my CB650's black engine fins, noticeably cleaning and darkening the black over time, reducing old water spots and white oxidation. That bike sat outside year 'round in Michigan and looked much better when I sold it a few years later with nothing else but wd-40 on it.
