Product Combos Let's Hear Them

I soo often read about many detailers mixing up their own batch of two different products and getting great results! Many RMG mixes and Just read of Scottwax mixing OCW and AJ. So lets hear about your fav mixed combo. Please share what works and what does not. I want to start trying some of these.
 
i mixed vmg with upp via pc and blue sonus pad on my brother in laws passatt yesterday for experimental use. not much of a difference to brag on just gettin a little crazy.
 
For exterior work, Hi-Temp Extreme Cut and Optimum Polish mix very well together, the OP takes out the tendency of HTEC to gum up and generally be a pain to use.



For interiors, I like to mix Chemical Guy's Silk Shine and O-Shine Hi-gloss in a 4:1 ratio, as I like a touch of gloss on my interiors, but not the cheap armor all shine. This mix gives great results, and you can adjust the ratio for more or less shine.

I like that idea for interiors. I am often kind of stuck with what to use with customers tastes call for less sheen than a wiped down 303.
 
Half bottle of OCW with a ounce or so of CGs Top Coat Sealant and a couple drops of Klasse SG. Seems to work good. Just spray on either the car or a towel and apply like a wax then let haze and remove. Not sure how long it lasts cuz the longest I left it without topping was a week. lol
 
When I was alittle kid I mixed everything that has to do with cars and put it on my bike. Seemed to shine purty good! Hehe. :getdown
 
Anyone else? I would like to hear about all the different ratios you all use with like an OCP and RMG mix.
 
A couple of weeks ago during Ernesto I did my Fall LSP strip-down with a combo of Z-PC/FP(original)/OP/Z5 (leftover beta Z5PRO) in equal amounts. This combo did an excellent job for the minor corrections needed. No dusting and easy residual removal.

Followed with a Z6 wipedown and Z5PRO/ZFX x 2 and Z2PRO/ZFX x 1.

Z5PRO layers were applied by hand with a Z6 moistened pad and the Z2PRO was applied with a Z8 moistened pad.

There was a post some time back with a mix of equal parts S&W, OCW and Duragloss Fast Clean & Shine. The claim was an extremely slick and glossy QD. Haven't tried it yet, but have been meaning to.
 
I'm not much of a mixer myself but I had a little Duragloss FC&S left over so I dumped it in with my FK1 #425. Mixed at about 20% fc&s and it works so well I will keep using this one. Cleans better, slicker, and with more gloss then either one alone. :chuckle:

Mixing Waxes



I had about an ounce left of S100 and Natty's so I decided to blend them together via a double-boiler. Thus producing N100 (name given by RCBuddha) - The final product was good but nothing spectacular. Of course, YMMV.



Most of the product mixing I have read about have been the RMG/Menzerna Ceramiclear product combos or the Optimum/Hi-Temp product combos. I personally have not tried any but it's good to hear that they get the approval of many respected Autopians.

3 parts distilled water to 1 part Klasse SG. Makes a perfect topper, especially if your lsp is SG. Best used in a mister bottle rather than sprayer.
 
A great refresher for the collinite waxes,mix distilled water and 845,4 to 1 in a good sprayer.I used to use this over 476 with great success,the two won't combine completley,the 845 sort of 'sits' on top,but it still worked great though.
