Process question on layering Zaino

Hello All,

I have a single 2-month old layer of Z2 Pro on my daily driver (Red Metallic Ford Focus). Although it gets driven everyday, it does not face the harshest elements - my work has covered garage parking and it gets garaged at home as well. I wash it bi-weekly with no follow-up of either Z6 or Z8. Although it still beads like the first day I applied it, the weather has been great and I have a couple of free days due to the holidays. Anyways, onto my question:

I am planning on adding another layer of Z2 Pro - Due to the long length of time between the first layer and now (2 months), do I need to apply Z1 beforehand or can I skip it and go straight to Z2?

Many Thanks - MCA

You should have no problems going straight to Z2pro. Z1 I believe is only needed once a year. You are limited to 1 coat per 24 hour period without ZFX.

I would suggest wash with Z7, followed by Z6 wipedown then Z2pro.

Correct, unless you plan on adding additional coats of Z-2 right after each other, you don't have to use ZFX (or Z-1) except for the 1st coat. Like Bryan said, just do the ZFX (or Z-1) once a year and that's it.

I put two coats of Z-2 with ZFX on my car in one day and now I'll just do follow ups with Z-2 only.

I would suggest Z-8, now and then....if for no other reason than it's wonderful smell ;-)

Thanks for the replies guys! Lol...I have Z8 but I just get kind of lazy and stingy with it considering it's *only* my beater car :D

Don't worry, I use Z8 on my beater. A little goes a long way with Z8. :bigups
