Problem powering my rotary

I just purchased a rotary from my local distributor, and the problem Im having is running it off my generator. I have a 2700watt northstar, and the rotary seems to run awfully slow on it, while doing fine on my house outlets. Any ideas why, is the generator too small? Never had problems running my PC or my Dewalt DA.

Check the amperage rating on your new rotary. I doubt that it is over about 9 to 12 amps, but it would be a good idea to know for sure.
The 2700 watt generator should be capable of about 24 amps output.
2700/110=24.5
I would think that should be more than enough power if your generator is putting out the full voltage & amperage it is rated for.
If you have access to a voltmeter, you might check the voltage that the generator is actually delivering.
