I was wondering what tent I should get for my mobile detailing business?

I need one that pops up with just one person, but also what size do i need to get to do most cars. I know some big cars like huge SUV wouldnt fit well, but it will come in handy for the ones that do.

So what you guys suggest?

I use a 10x10 EZ-up. I can have it up or down in less than one minute by myself. It does not cover an entire vehicle but does a great job of keeping ME out of the GA sun during the summer. A two wheel drive Tahoe or something of that size will fit underneath it...most 4x4 trucks and SUV's won't. On windy days you can forget about using it, I just break out my direct sun safe products.

$192 for a 10x10 with 4 side walls and weight bags two weeks ago at Costco. Caravan was the manufac. name. Bag with wheels included.

I have the Caravan, from Costco. Quite nice. Takes awhile thwe fist time to set up, but once you have the hang of it, it goes up & down quite quickly...

Jim,

Thank you! The first time I set it up the legs were quite stiff. I was afraid to really pull because I thought I might bend the legs. I'm doing a trade show this week and I can only hope it "springs" to life.

I got a quick shade today 12x12 for 130 bucks the thing i like about it is the thing at the lowest point is 84 in. its got better clearance then the ezup but i think the ezups canopy & bag are better material.I relly like the 7"1 height.

Here is my set up. There are two 8x12. Both together give me 16x12 area of shade.

They cost $390 each. Mine are over 10 years old.

Try Sports Academy, they sell some 10x10 about 80 bucks and it can fold small so you can carry in yout trunk. I'm using the EZ-Up brand (cost more), which i bought at Sam's Club and i feel it's much better when i compare with a friend who have that Sport Academy tent. It's flimsy (the cheaper one) when you have the Texas wind blowing at it.

I got mine at sports authority the ezups mat.canopy & bag seem to be better the fram is about the same. The good thing is the ht. of the quickshade eves 85' so you can get taller trucks in it.

BJ's has an E-Z Up Express II package deal for $180. Includes 10x10 canopy, 4 sides, awning, stakes and wheely bag.

I'm interested in getting a tent myself. But, how do you set up a tent on concrete, asphalt, etc.? I'm used to seeing and hearing about tents with spikes, etc. I would love to get one because it would help in several situations I run into.

AJ,

These "tents"- Canopies, fold in and out much like an accordian. The bottoms of the legs are flat and simply sit on the ground. In windy or breezy conditions it is a good idea to weigh them down. You can buy weight bags that attach to the legs, or come up with your own idea. Remember, that time is money and you don't want to spend a lot of time and energy to set up. Get a procedure that works for you. These canopies that you are talking about don't take much of a breeze to send them on their way.

I believe you can purchase weight bags from EZUP websites or Caravan.
