Primer / Laquer Thinner suggestions?

Hi everyone I've been somewhat annoyed at the uneveness of OEM touch up paint and the general blobby nature that can't be remedied with langka (for metallics)



So I'm wondering if I primer the area first will it come out more even? (the area in question is approx 2mm x 2mm).



If not would it be better that I get some laquer thinner and thin out my OEM paint so it will not blob as badly?



Lastly it would be helpful if you can recommend some good places to get some primer specifically for automotive use. Laquer thinner I've heard you can get at any paint store I'm not sure if Canadian Tire carries primer but I'll give them a shot too.
 
any paint supply place will sell you paint thinner...over here its cellulose thinner, not sure if you guys call it that?



yah ive tried bringing the chip almost up to level with primer, works pretty good if you have the time
 
I think my main problem is the OEM paint it's too damn tick and langka seems to take out all the paint and none of the metal flakes.



So do you think I guess I should get both in that case mix the paint in the bottle 50:50 with thinner? primer to a level then paint? Haven't used thinner before I'm a bit scared of that stuff but I have read that if you want to use the OEM bottles you will need some thinner, I'll check Canadian Tire to see if they have some of the automotive stuff today and let you guys know.

As mentioned, using a drop or two of a quality automotive lacquer thinner should do the trick. If you want to get some small quantities of touch-up paint here is a good source (also has some good FAQ's):
