Prima mystique and slick review plus FK1 425 vs UGE and custom recipe

Dream Machines
Got my 16 oz starter bundle of the prima line and a second mystique wash
I'm a 1Z perls or werkstatt auto body shampoo person but always open to trying other stuff and even mixing my own recipe's

First thing I noticed with the product in a clear 125ml bottle, from one angle it is green , on the other, it is purple.

So I got my mate's car with slightly rough feeling paint into the wash bay and filled the shampoo bucket with 2 litres of purified water and 10 litres of warm tap water and added at a guess - 20ml of the product

The suds were pretty good (I like low to medium suds) so bit more than that
Prepped the MF wash mitt and got to work
The mitt glided along the paint with ease and suds got better and better as I went along

Dried with a chamois then a drying towel and although the feel wasn't as smooth as we got it once night with perls and four star, it felt much better and the shine definately improved

Actually I used perls and raindance on the other side and that side was a little smoother as usual

next day, do my car for the first time in two weeks (in garage all the time though after night out cruising with mates)

The previous five washes had been perls on it's own and then werkstatt auto body and used sonus detail spritz and raindance before drying with pakshak drying towel and JW Acrylic jett as a QD
It stayed slick after five washes, usually loses slickness wash after wash

Anyway this time 4 litres of purified water and warm water, prima on one side and perls/raindance on the other
Did the closest wash to accummulator's method that I could and before drying, sprayed raindance on the side washed with einszett

After all that, felt the paint on both sides and the difference on this extremely well looked after car was so minimal, the prima actually felt smoother
Suds on the prima in bucket and mitt were a little more than I wanted
Overall, mystique is a great wash and perls has some serious competition
I will be using it again for sure.

Member of autopia , mad ix had sent me official samples of 425 and 2180 and I was anxious to give the 425 a go on both sides of the paint

The smell was sensational to me and with the monster fluffy towel, the semi slick paint went as slick as it gets when you spray JW AJ on and buff dry
Absolutely awesome stuff, on the glass which usually is slicker than the paint, but this time was a little rough, was transformed into a super slick feel ,like it was just waxed

So then I decided to get most of my QD's and do a big test, these included UGE, DP, the new prima slick, Wolfgang, Sonus DS, Raindance and also tryed AJ

The UGE which I had not used for several months gave a feeling almost equal to the 425 and the prima slick looked great, smelt the same and with a separate towel, I got a wetter finish and as good as 425 feel, love this new stuff, will be getting the gallon size

The others are great for glass but no match to these
Finally decided to mix 50 mls of 4 star UGE with 25 mls each of FK1 425, Prima slick and Acrylic jett
Turned to a thick consistency and pink in colour and a delicious smell

On small areas that had yet to be QD'd, the result was unbelievable, even slicker again and great shine.
Will continue to use this recipe

Those who have tried werkstatt carnuaba or acrylic gloss, how does it compare to well known QD's and the FK1 425

used the 2180 sealant on the bonnet, left for only 15 minutes as I had to go out, buffed off and the depth was better and slickness was brilliant

Looking to get more FK1 stuff
Prima is definately up there with Werkstatt, einszett and others
Looks like the einszett is under threat of being replaced for the first time in many years and the raindance may go with it (only gets used in the shampoo mix)

Thank you for the information. I also got a sample of the Prima line. Have tests on going on my truck with there new sealant.

Slick is a very good QD when used in conjunction with their sealant. It is what it says. SLICK
