Pressure washer troubles

I have a mobile buisness and my problem is after one year with a Honda 2600 psi washer it has tore up and my extended warrenty will not cover it because of "buisness" use. (Yeah that ticked me off!) So any reccomendations on one to buy that will not die in a years time? Or any idea how much it costs to get a new compressor put on it? I bought a cheapo briggs and stratton 2000 from walmart to sub for a while. Thanks

Sams Club has an extended warranty that you can purchase that is good for business use, I've used it once so far and had no problems. They have a pretty nice selection of pressure washers.

If your going to use it proffesionally, you need to get a chain or belt driven machine instead of that direct drive peice of garbage. There isn't a pressure washer out there that is going to last forever, because all of them are dependant on rubber seals under pressure. It is best to get a real nice one, keep oil in it, and when the seals break have them fixed as opposed to replacing everytime.

If you have the Honda with the comet pump it's not intended for commercial use.

Home depot has the Honda you need. It will be a red motor, have a Cat pump or an AR pump on it. 5.5 or 6.5 Hp.

It is a direct drive and is not a POS as stated above. A pressure washer that has a try plunger type brass pump that is from Cat, Genral or AR all can be rebuilt. Labor rates may vary but parts run around 30 to 40 bucks. These parts consist of seals. The ideal pump will have Porcelin pistons.

My honda motor has 6 to 7 years use on it and looks beat up but it runs like a champ and as for my pump I have rebuilt it twice.

What extends the life of the pump is a bypas valve. When you relase the triger the valve will pump the water back in your tank so you have cool water going through all the time.

Northern tool will have the same pressure washer and they carry the valve you need as well.
