I have a Honda GX200 pressure washer and with an inline water filter and softner between the tank and the washer... Once I added the filter and softner to the line I cant get any pressure when spraying. My question is.... do I need to add a water pump or what because I am stuck now with no pressure.. I am very frustrated :hairpull so any help will be greatly appreciated...

Thanks, Will

Sounds like you're starving your high pressure pump for water. Somewhere in the manual, you'll find something like a minimum supply volume, listed as a Gallons Per Minute value. My pressure washer requires 3.2 GPM on the supply side. After adding my water softening filters, I measured output at 3.5 GPM. Just barely enough. You might want to actually measure how many GPM you're getting out of your hose and compare it to the requirement for your washer.

It is a gravity fed tank and has just enough water pressure for my pressure washer to work when there is nothing in the line but now water is barely coming through the line so I no its not getting enough water... Will a water pump work and where can I get one without spending alot of money?

^ ya you need a pump to get the water moving again!

Ive seen lots of guys get them from northertool.com

I use to see pumps at sears all the time for that exact thing. They were made to hook onto a water hose to boost water pressure for washing cars and such. That was around 5 years ago so I am unsure if they still carry them but I wish anything I had one. I bet we dont have 10psi at our house.. Makes for hard times when I am trying to wash vehicles..

I went to northerntool.com and looked at the pumps but dont know which one to buy... Most of the pumps on there would probably be an overkill.. Any help on choosing the right one will be greatly appreciated..

Im not sure why you have a water softener going from your tank to the pressure washer. It would make sense to fill the tank with the filtered water.

I use a DI system.

I'll try that with filling the tank with the softner but I still need a pump because I want to keep my filter between my tank and PW
